Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on 8 August 1976. She was eldest among four kids. Her parents, who have a doctor for teeth and teacher in a school helped and encouraged her early love for drama as well as theatre. She initially hoped of becoming a specialist in monkeys was replaced by a desire to learn about drama and theater. It was a quick rise for her to become a well-known young actor. Following her studies in 1998 she took part in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning acting professionally. Tautou is a pupil of the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and enrolled in the school at an early age, has disavowed her Catholic education. Now, she says she is not a Catholic. Along with her acting career she also pursued a modelling career. She is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. In her photographs, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. The camera's focus is towards journalists who scrutinized her as she rose to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's worldwide popularity and success exploded following her role as Amelie Poulain's main lady in Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie. Amelie gained international attention due to its success at the box office. It also received praise at awards ceremonies across the globe. It's the biggest French language film ever on the US. Later, in the same year, she starred in British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
