Eve Maughan is a daughter of Trevor Eve, an actor who was an actor from London England. Jack and George, her younger brothers were born in London, and were raised in London, the United Kingdom and Los Angeles. She attended Bedales School, and took A-Levels in the London's Westminster School. In her time off, she was a student at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then took English in St Catherine's College Oxford. While at Oxford she was a student in the productions like An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers (which toured to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) Scenes from an Execution as well as The Colour of Justice. Eve is a regular in BBC television dramas The Rotters Club Poirot, Hawking and Stage Beauty as well as movies like Stage Beauty (2004). Eve played a significant role in both Starter for 10 (with her co-star Simon Pegg speaking with an American accent) as well as Big Nothing (2006). In the beginning of 2006, she stayed time in India for work on Losing Gemma the mini-series that focuses on backpackers. Eve was in two shows, both directed by Trevor Nunn. In 2006, she was on stage in Rock n Roll a new play by Tom Stoppard at the Royal Court Theatre and then reprised her part in 2007's Broadway transfer. Her ethnicity is diverse and is the daughter of an Indo British dad, Anthony Mitra (of British descent) as well as an Irish mother Nora Downey. Mitra is the middle kid of a multiracial family. The older brother of her, Jason Mitra, and her younger brother Guyan Mitra are each English actors. The younger brother of Guyan Mitra is a well-known journalist for travel who's work was published within Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
