Cassandra Monique Batie is an American R&B, soul and singer/songwriter. She is also a performer. She has been awarded various accolades including an Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra is not just a throwback R&B artist, her blues roots and gospel jazz is presented in a manner that's both easy and stylish. Her first album, Cheers To The Autumn (2015), was a smash hit in the hip-hop/R&B genre. It also led to a number of Grammy as well as Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017), her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack, earned her both awards. Amen (2018) and Then Make Your Troubles go Away (2020) and Her Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States in vs. Billie Holiday 2021) have all contributed to the anticipation for her next album. Born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day was raised at home in San Diego and its metropolitan city, where she performed at churches and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. She was drawn to contemporary R&B, pop and jazz after graduating from school but ultimately, she was drawn to classical soul singers and jazz which she was familiar with when she was a child. Kai Millard Morris, who caught a live performance by Day and brought her music to Stevie Wonder's husband was the main leap forward. The Motown legend in turn was able to connect Day with music industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day in conjunction by Gurvitz's Buskin label as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin record company, gained an online fan base. She eventually signed to Warner Bros. The track was soon taken up by DJs who began playing it in radio stations. Later, she became a member of Warner Bros. Records and started cooperating with her producer, Adrian Gurvitz on her debut album Cheers To the Fall (2015). The album included the track"Rise Up," that was a popular the theme for movements to promote social justice all over the world. Day received the album two Grammy nominations for the album. One of them was for Best R&B Album. In 2019 she released her sophomore record The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the legendary jazz vocalist. She also starred in The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film that tells the story of Holiday. Andi Mattichak, a native of the United States is an American actor. Her career began in TV series like Orange Is the New Black 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her first film role was as Allyson as Allyson in the supernatural movie Halloween. Andi Matichak was an American actress who was born on 03 May 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts United States.
